For caregivers

You can't be there every evening. You can still know.

Nolara was built for the person who moved away and still worries — the son in Dubai, the daughter in London. Here is exactly what you get, what you don't, and why the line sits where it does.

A young boy gently adjusting his grandfather's collar while the grandfather smiles.

It starts with an invitation — theirs, not yours

You cannot add someone to Nolara. They invite you, by email, from their own phone; you accept, and only then do you see anything. Their medication is their record, so the link has to start with them.

They can remove you at any moment, and your access ends right there. No archive, no residue.

What you see

Today's doses and whether each was taken. Adherence over the week. The schedule itself. You can write care notes and record vitals on their chart, message them in the app, and raise a non-urgent concern.

What you can never do: add, change, or remove their medicines. A caregiver entering doses would be prescribing, and that is a line this app refuses to cross.

When a dose goes unrecorded

Nolara tells you three ways: an alert in your app, an email, and a push notification. Three separate paths, because any single one can fail. Alerts are batched — several doses caught in one sweep arrive as one message, and email is capped at one every twelve hours.

Every alert carries a first name and nothing else. No medication name ever appears on a lock screen or in an inbox subject line, because notifications get read by whoever is holding the phone.

Honest limit: an unrecorded dose means exactly that — nothing was recorded. It does not mean something happened. If you are worried, the surest thing has always been to call.

Not an emergency service — said out loud

Some apps in this space show an SOS button that quietly does nothing. Nolara refuses to promise rescue it cannot deliver: there is no emergency button, no "help is on the way", no pretence.

What exists instead is honest: a non-urgent concern you can raise, which notifies the patient and their other caregivers inside the app. For anything urgent — call. Always call.

Built on restraint.
